Maps of China: Chinese maps of the empire and its provinces, plans of Beijing and other walled cities, and maps of China made by European Jesuits and mapmakers from the 1600s to the early 1900s.
Why they are free to use: Most were published more than a century ago, so their copyright has expired. Each map's page shows its own licence basis and a credit line.
