We Will Have the Offensive. Addressing the nation in a Washington Birthday broadcast, President Franklin D. Roosevelt assured the people of the United States as well as the people of the world that the United Nations “will soon have the offensive; will win the final battles and will make the final peace.” The President is shown pointing on a map to a position in a Far Eastern sector of conflict, shortly before his radio talk.
