Castiglione Map
A replica of the 1525 "navigation map on parchment" held at Baldassare Castiglione's estate in Toledo, detailed in inventory of his library commissioned by his mother on 4 February 1530. Held by his heirs until the year 2000 when it was purchased by the Italian government. Now held in the Estense Library, Modena, Italy. Also known as the Modena or Mantua Planisphere. 209.5 × 81 cm. The unsigned map is thought to be a copy of the Spanish standard map held by the Casa de Contratacion in Seville, Spain, by either Diogo Robero or Nuño García de Toreno (García Torenño).

Reason: its maker died more than 70 years ago, and a faithful scan of a flat work adds no new copyright.
