Weltkarte des Ravennaten
Construction of a mappa mundi according to the notes of an anonymous geographer from Ravenna (Italy), c. 650 AD. The "reconstructed" map was created by Konrad Miller and printed in 1898. The map is divided by 24 rays originating in Ravenna because the Ravenna geographer divided the world into 24 sections according to the 24 hours of one day. His division into 12 day hours and and 12 night hours is shown in the ring surrounding the map.
