Map of the Guatemy River
This pen-and-ink watercolor map shows the course of the Guatemy (Iguatemi) River, which flows through the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The river’s name is the Tupi Indian word for "river of the canoes with bows". It is considered part of the Upper Paraná River Basin.
