Carte.” Printed in the lower left corner outside the border: ”Cette Carte a été traduite par M. de Vaugondy et grave á Paris en 1772.” Shows Siberia, the Kamchatka Peninsula, Alaska, the Bering Strait and the northwestern edge of North America. Displays the mythical lands of “Quivira” and “Anian” in North America and shows northern California as “New Albion.” Shows a large river running west to east from the Strait of Juan de Fuca far inland to Mer de Ronquillo. Shows Alaska as land discovered by the Russians in 1741 and incorrectly defines its shape. Includes notes and name
