Bacon's Chart of Useful Knowledge
An uncommon and splendid folding wall map of the world set within a collection of infographic diagrams. These include an illustration of the longest rivers and highest mountains of the world, a list of famous battles, and a chart of important historical figures (109 men and 17 women). A semi-circle of national flags, a compendium of the "world's loftiest & most famous buildings", and a gathering of national costumes provide additional decorative elements. Paragraphs of text explain the Solar System and the plants, the concept of time, the history of transport, and the major ethnic groups (according to the prejudices and societal norms of Edwardian Britain).
