A Description of the two Shyres ABERDENE and BANF, With such Countreys and Provinces as ar comprehended under them

This map of the Scottish province Aberdeen was published by Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) in his atlas of Scotland in 1654. Though the detailed descriptions commissioned by the Scottish Government and produced by Robert Gordon of Straloch (1580-1661) formed the basis of the atlas, most images were directly copied from a manuscript by the Scottish cartographer Timothy Pont (c. 1560-1614). Gordon had completed the collection with eleven maps by his own hand, the map of Aberdeen being one of those.

Reason: its maker died more than 100 years ago, and a faithful scan of a flat work adds no new copyright.
